Attached are the following Sprite views (from my New Year's game) for use in games and/or Troflip's sample library. There are six (6) sprites (all those in the picture except the tuxedo guy) as well as a sword cursor I drew like the one in Quest for Glory I and an hour-glass wait cursor.

I checked and there is an IMPORT function for SCI you could save the bmps and import them as views in SCI studio...I haven't yet done it, but the function is there.

Yeah the gallery seems to be a perfect place for storing images. maybe I'll add a category called public domain or something, then if anyone wants to post their sprites or pics up there, then there's no reason not to. I'm pretty sure you can export the sprites from scitudio as one bmp which will place all of the sprites views and cels on that one image.

But can you IMPORT the bmp views into the view editor? How would you get the bmps turned into views?

EDIT: It looks like there is indeed an import function!

Cool man! Rock on! Are you playing original songs and/or covers?

Sorry about the save issues - it never was an issue on my computer! My brother played it, saved it, and nothing went wrong. I have no idea how or what I did to make that error!

Thanks for the comments about the game and graphics!

So how are the games going?

There is still plenty of time if you haven't gotten anything worked on yet.

Cloudee1, there is no rule that the game cannot be of my favorite games is dark (Silent Hill 2) - The fun-aspect of dark games is altogether different than what we are used to from SCI games, but hey, a different fun is still fun.

Thank you! I played that game a ton and those guys really ruined my fun!

I saw the screenshot...but I must say I was MOST fascinated with the screen of the Hero's Quest style game, which is my fav SCI game of them all!

Also, I might be able to come up with some computer art if you want it for the main page...just let me know dimensions and a general idea.

Cool it works! Maybe later when I have time I will put up some sprites or something. The place is looking VERY good cloudee1...SCI fans should thank you! I certainly do...even though you stole my pacman crown...which I cannot seem to get back  ;)

Very cool! One problem though. Artwork cannot be added because it is impossible to submit anything without a category, and there are no categories to choose from.

I might be able to help on the design end, but when it comes to actually coding, I am really bad.

Sorry if it's was tough for me to think up something! I would say you can go crazy on the cut scenes if you want to.

Everything-Else / Favorite non-SCI games

Psychonauts: Probably the only "new" game out there that captures humor like the old school games (thanks to Tim Schafer of course!) - plus it is a darned fun platformer too!

Chrono Cross: completely underrated PS1 title. The art and music are second to none for the PS1 and the half-RPG/half-Adventure style makes it a lot of fun.

Silent Hill 2: Actually a pretty profound game...oh yeah...and really scary to play alone in the dark!

Besides guitar hero what are some of your favorite non-SCI games?

Yup! Cloudee1 is get a point for trying to go potty lol.

I really should have coded in something for 'read/note' - If you look in your inventory you can look at and read it there, as well as the other items you pick up.

typos! Whew...I'm lucky only to have a "few" - with all the typing and last minute code crunching, I'm happy to have it near bug-free (though I still suspect there are a few, and maybe even big ones!) and mainly coherent!

The new game competition rules are up and I am looking forward to judging the submissions!

Alright! Welcome to round Two of the SCI Game Contest!

The Game:
- In "Groundhog's Day" style you are trapped replaying the same day over and over.

The Rules:- 1 room (min and max) - other rooms can be used for intro and ending (but ONE live-action game room).

- As many Characters as you like (minimum 1, "the ego")

- The room must reset itself at regular intervals (this can be time specific or activated). When the room resets, something can be different.

Ending time is one month from today: MARCH 3rd

Any questions? just ask?
