Post by: John_Bock on August 15, 2001, 06:08:04 PM
If anyone wants help with the music for there agi game I might be able to help.  Just tell me what song, or if possible I could try to make own.  If your not sure what kind of music to use I could help you on that too.

All right. I seek out a music you can hear inside a church.

What time period for the church music.  Church music has changed a lot throughout the years.

I know of several modern songs, but I'm not sure which one to use...  The church songs today are all happy, or sad happy.  Why is the guy in the game going to church, is it just because it's Sunday, or because he/she fears something horrible is going to happen.

A happy music is ok for me.

Rosana needs to talk with a priest to get a hint.

And she prays to continue in the game.

I found a list of church songs.  They all sounded good for the church scene, but they are all 3 minutes long.  You may have to shorten the song you choose though.  I'm not sure, but I do know the agi games never really had any long songs.  It's worth trying though...

If the music is in the back ground it doesn't matter how long it is.

What song do you prefer or do you want me to choose?  If my program can't read the midi, then I have to wait till school which is in a few weeks.

Title: TLP & Music
Post by: Tarison on September 25, 2001, 03:24:11 PM
I'm pretty right for music at the moment. In truth, I hadn't worked on the game in a loooong time (bout a year, which was when I was doing my own little tests into the lucasarts interface).

RL sorta snuck up on me, then just the other day, I was bored, surfing the web, and stumbled onto AGS. It does look like that's going to be TLP's new format, as I can have it closer to how I originally wanted it to be (I'd been planning it before even touching AGI, if that gives you an idea ;)

Cheers,

Can you do All you need is love by the Beatles?

I am having trouble converting the midi's I have into music for my AGI game. The problem is that some notes are just a bit too high or low and they produce poor results. I am not sure how to adjust them. I know this isn't composing, but rather modifying existing midi's so they sound good in AGI. Is this something you would be able (and be willing) to help out with?

The Beatles' Love does not fit with the hell scenes.
Maybe a heavy metal music is better.

Does anyone know if you could get into trouble if you use a copyrighted (from Disney ;D)) midi in your game?

John hasn't been around here for ages. If he was, he would be unbelievably busy making music for almost every game, though ;)
