Title: agi phantasmagoria.
Post by: The viagra guy on April 22, 2002, 07:41:09 PM
Hi. I'm the viagra guy the maker of agi phantasmagoria.

If I stop my project, that's because of the bad review I found on brian's agi-sci website.

If you think I  should continue my work, let me know.

My e-mail is fake but I need it to post my message.

I say go for it for 2 reasons, one we need more people working on AGI games and completeing AGI games. and the other is because I am a fan of the original phantasmorgia game.

I like to see agi phantasmagoria finished.

If you need a site to put your newest game, let me know.

hmm..everybody got their own point of view. you shouldn't cancel yer project because someone doesn't like it. that's their problem.  ;)

Avi R. (reviewer) : "You can't take a game that has been done on several CD in full movie technology and try to convert it to AGI." ..and that's kinda limited way of thinking. i think that it might be hard do to that..but prolly not impossible.

Well the video and digitized characters were just one way of presenting the story and puzzles.  They could have just as easily created a game based around puzzles in 2d.

All said and done, not even the flashiest graphics with a full 3d quadraphonic soundscape will save a piece of crap game from being an obvious piece of crap.  However, I am still a huge fan of Missile Command, which has like circles and lines for graphics.  Ignore pointless criticism.  Only pay attention to criticism which can make your project BETTER.

My plan was not to make Phantasmagoria remake but to make a new Phantasmagoria game.

And I don't have a site and I'll ask Robin or Chris to put my new demo to theirs sites.

You should also get NAGI from http://www.agidev.com to play the game.

I hope you don't mind Mr. T I fixed the url because it was breaking and people had to copy and paste the url in their browsers to use it.

I agree with the aforementioned people. If you're convinced that a Phantasmagoria type of game would work, you'll have to go for it. Personally, I like the dark and 'film noir' aspect in game, so I'll definitely be downloading it when it's done!

Go for it, I say!

I don't think it's an actual bug in the board code.  I think it's done automatically to prevent the long text from increasing the width of the tables too much.  Preferably they should auto check for urls before they break lines up though.

Nope it doesn't break them on purpose, long urls just as well as short ones should do the same thing... but usually characters in the url such as the ~ break the url.

And the board itself doens't break up the lines, it is the width of the html table that breaks it... the text is reformatted to fit the table automatically by your browser, the board doesn't wrap it and split it into multiple lines for you.

New game in a style of Phantasmagoria... Sounds interesting! I guess that you shouldn't listen anyone who says that this game will be bad.
