Title: 256 colour pics
Post by: bokkers on November 17, 2002, 02:22:25 AM
Hi there,
just discovered the "Savepic"-Tool from Brian's site. I tried it at once but all gives me is a runtime error. It's always the same error no matter if i run savepic with or without a source-picture.
Now that has made me wondering: Is Savepic just a joke? Or was it meant to be really working?
Please help me finding out.

Are you using the 256 color patch with your interpreter or what?

No, not the patch although I planned to use the patch later. What I mean is the "Savepic"-Tool from Brian's Ultimate AGI&SCI-Page. It's supposed to be a tool to transform PCX-Files into PIC-resources, just like Noptec Vector, only that "Savepic" is supposed to give you 256-colour-pix as result. Now if that would work, it could greatly improve the look of AGI-games in general. Unfortunately I'm too dumb to get it working  :'(

Well, from what I remember, the 256 color patch only lets you palette-swap.  That is, it can still only display 16 colors at a time.  Is this right?  I think it is.
