There is an AGI version of KQ4, it is very rare though. I have it. After I get the AGI game uploader back up, maybe you could upload your collection for everyone to be able to download them from 1 site.

You posted that right before I did. ::)

Also I might be more of a AGI freak than you, I not only have all those games, but I have multiple versions of each. ;D

Sidrious play

If you are seriously an agi collector, check for the missed agi games from your list:

Naturette 2: daughter of the moon.
Serguei's destiny 2
Coco Coq: la base de Grostesteing

I don't know if you have a demo or a complete version of Les Inseparables.

You'll find them at:

You've missed that Pinkun-maze game and that Bike-racing game. On Al Lowe's site, there's a Winnie the Pooh game and a Mickey Mouse game you've missed as well. A small thing, but not really worth mentioning (I'll still mention it though :P ) you've misspelled Jiggy Jiggy Uh! Uh!.
Another game you've missed: Tryout ;D and that Hippy-game.

-Kon-Tiki-

Edit: Added another game

Hmm...KQ 4, Snowboarding Demo, that Hippie Game and Piano AGI (but that isn't really a game? am I right?).
I've got thoes too but deleted them long time ago.
I needed place for my PC (there was only...576kb free!).
Hmm...Thanks for telling me thoes games I haven't got.
I will look if I make a AGI fan page.
Is there a site where it has "free & easy" Pagedesigner.
I know a site, but I don't know how to upload games there.

Thx!

Yes...most definantally...they run in your NAGI interpreter so that means that they are AGI right?

And  YES agi paino counts

Is it legal to upload all fan-made-agi-games???

I won't upload the Sierra games. Sorry!

In Geocity is a tryal vers. of some pagedesigner,

is it good for a agi-fan-page?

And if yes, can someone tell me how to upload

the games to the site? And how to design

with the better tool.

(There are 2. One for beginner's. But I can't upload
games there. And the second, better one.)

Or do you know a better, easy page??

Thanks!

Yeah yeah...I'm a lost little Sierra Freak and I write constantly little info thingies and reports about it for finnish sites and such. AGI-games are, of course, one of the main things...

I don't have all the games that fans have made in AGI, cause there aren't many finished ones, and I don't like to play unfinished games all over again. Manhunters, Goldrush and KQ4 AGI are, I think, the only AGI-games I lack of.

Anyways, since we're all here talking about these things...kq4 agi is out of the production line, right?
Title: Re:All AGI Games I've got!
Post by: Joel on January 17, 2003, 11:27:59 PM
some more obscure ones:

Botz
Dashiki 256-color version
Hero's Adventure
Quest For Piracy (not the same as Pirate Quest)
CPU-21
Go West, Young Hippie

You also didn't list the F@$! Quest 2 teaser

As was said King's Quest 4 AGI is rare, they stopped selling it shortly after they started selling it and replaced it with the SCI version. And I am not sure if this is true or not, but it was only able to be purchased through their catalog, and not on shelves or something like that. The most you will find in a collection is the SCI version.

You forgot to mention the four unofficial hugo sierra games...
Title: Re:All AGI Games I've got!

The Hugo games, despite being very cool, aren't agi at all.  it's the author's own engine I think.

Title: Re:All AGI Games I've got!
Post by: SGreenslade on January 19, 2003, 01:43:07 AM
really?? they look so similar. I remember seeing somewhere they were produced by sierra. That may be true, but I think it was AGI or very close to it. I have a version of sq1 which is not like the agi we know and can't be read on agistudio. Perhaps the hugo games are similar to that.
Title: Re:All AGI Games I've got!
Post by: Adam on January 19, 2003, 02:00:50 AM
There were 4 Hugo games?!

I thought there was only
Hugo's House of Horrors
Hugo 2: Whodunit?
Hugo 3: Jungle of Doom

Plus the Hugo's House of Horrors remake for Windows...

Was there another Hugo adventure that I missed?!  I tried googling "David P. Grey" (the maker of the Hugo series) and I could only find the three mentioned above.

Post by: Nick Sonneveld on January 19, 2003, 02:33:00 AM
There was a Hugo's Nightmare 3D or something like that.  He beat Sierra and made a 3d version of his game first :)  It was closer to wolfenstein than adventure though.

Post by: df on January 19, 2003, 07:40:46 AM
i remember playing hugo1 and thinking wow, this is a fanmade game and its pretty cool!  i tried to hack some of the engine... it was not very sophisticated at all :)

Title: Just to clear things up a bit...
Post by: HWM on January 19, 2003, 09:03:25 AM
Although Sierra was the first with their so-called "3D Adventure Game", there are a dozen of clones made since...

To set some facts straight, these games are NOT AGI or SCI (but ARE related to Sierra):

- Dynamix games: Willy Beamish, Rise of the Dragon & Heart of China, etc.
- (Some) Sierra action-games: Oil's Well (remake), The Incredible Machine series, etc.
- GameArts games: Thexder, Firehawk, Silpheed, etc.
- Coktel Vision games: Gobliiins, Gobliins, Ween, etc.
- 3D Helicopter Simulator (only the demo is in AGI)
- Winnie the Pooh & Mickey's Space Adventure (despite earlier claims, these are NOT AGI, both use a different engine)

Not AGI/SCI, nor related to Sierra (AFAIK):

- Hugo Series
- Accolade adventures: Les Manley series, Altered Destiny (use a VERY similiar engine, got sued for it)
- The game(s?) some Sierra programmers made when they left Sierra and formed Tsunami (ok, maybe a bit related...)

Space Quest 5, a Dynamix game, wasn't SCI either I think.

- Nick

SQ5 was SCI.

I got a question to Roby_Gravel:

On your site I saw a game called,

the search of the batteries.

Can you tell me wich prog. you used for it?

(I don't know what's AGS)

EDIT: And can you tell me where you put the
         AGI interpreter on your site?
So that I can play games whitout it.

Can you guys start uploading your game to http://www.agigames.com/site.php?action=games;option=agigames

That way we can get the AGI game archive full of fan AGI games for all to download.

are still in the old computer.

I will copy the games to my new computer

if I got time.

I only have one demo. And I didn't upload it. Guess somebody else did but didn't see that it was already uploaded. So if someone thinks that it's full then it's not. But quite soon will be. ;)

On the first page of AGI games, click on Need an interpreter to download the interpreter without game.

If you want Nagi as the interpreter, go to the utilities section on my site.
