Title: The New Adventures of Zak McKracken
Post by: OmerMor on April 19, 2003, 01:54:33 PM
Although not SCI related - I thought this nice fan game would be of itereset to the SCI community. It's not a new game, but only recently it got (officialy) translated to english.
Why won't you give it a shot?
You can find the game here:

BTW - it was developed in AGS which seems kinda popular. Well since the SCI Studio VGA is not out yet ... or SCUMM Studio ...  ;)

Is The New Adventures of Zak McKracken a new game or a remake from the commercial game?

Excellent. I'll try it out. I don't like remake games.

Anybody know where can i find "Hugo's House of Horrors Remake" made with AGS???
NAoZMK is great game (I've played it in Russian).
Is there some tool like SCUMM Studio? Any program to view sounds/music/backgrounds/costumes/scripts?

Hugo: Apparently the original author requested it removed so I don't know where you can still find it.

SCUMM Studio: there currently no such tool. There is one that was supposed to be in development but I don't think it's still being worked on. But there is hope: Brian hinted that it might be his next big project after SCI Studio VGA...

SCUMM resources: Try SCUMM Revisited (SCUMMRev) for most of SCUMM resources.

There's even two SCUMM Studios being worked on... One is SCUMM Studio, which is definitely under development and is not abandoned, another is SCUMM IDE, about that one I don't know anything sure...

Well, the project's currently without a homepage and in alpha2 status... It's currently very buggy and doesn't support much, but it certainly is being developed...
