Title: Time Quest Demo 2
Post by: Jason Pech on June 13, 2003, 11:58:29 AM
The creater of this game is being a real jerk. He only answeres e-mails once a week, and he doesn't even give real help. I am seeking help with this game. I need to know how to get full points for demo 2 of Time Quest. Since Chad is being a jerk, will someone here help me?

The guy has a fulltime job and he makes Time Quest  in his spare time.  Give him a break.  Leave him alone and ask your questions on the board here.

Nick,
How do I score full points in this game, since you say I should ask questions on this board? >:(

I have already done that! The people won't take the fish. If I eat the fish I don't get points. So.... What do I do next to get full points. I already have the egg, I've walked through the maze and I've climbed down the vine that I tie to the rock. So what is next?!!!

You could open 'er up in AGI Studio and look at the code directly.. but that'd take some of the fun out of the game, dontcha think?

Kinda like bombarding everybody on the board with questions..  ::)

Sorry, had to give ya that little jab  ;)   But I will tell you that it wouldn't be totally shameful - I used AGI Studio to get through the maze (I hate mazes)

Jason, I don't know what you haven't done, but when I played I first of all missed a vital 1-pointer item in the bathroom, then I didn't realise that you can make a deal to exchange the timer for the egg by gesturing (guess we're supposed to get it from the wall-painting that we need to communicate simplistically with the cavemen)

Hope that helps.  :)

Luke,
Thankyou, but I have already done all of that. I would like to know what to do in demo 2 step by step. I am missing about 10 points.

type "gesture for device" in the cave for 5 points
type "cook fish" at the fire for 5 points

I don't know what else you could've missed... I managed to get full points in demo 2, using the saved game provided...

Ok....having trouble because I'm an idiot.

Is anyone out there willing to give me the exact key sequences necessary to get all those dots in the right place on the configuration board.

I was always completely useless at those little hand-held puzzle games as a kid and it's come back to haunt me now...grr...fate...one day I'll get you!

Thanks anyway.

-Nano.

I'm too good for this world...
(Which doesn't mean you have to kill me)

D R U R D D L U R D D L U R R D L L U R R D L L L U R R D L L U R R D L U U L D D R U R U L D R U L L D D R U R U R D L U U R D L U L D D R U U R D L U L D R U L L D D R U U R R D L U L D R U L L D D R U R U L D R R U L L D R U L L D R U R D L U L

It's certainly not the fastest way, but it's the most logic way.

PS: Someone test this please, there might be a typo.

There is no way to shortcut of color ball  puzzle?

You can always recode the game so that it skips the colored balls-puzzle. It's a bit tricky if you don't have the source with defines, but if you understand the AGI logic thoroughly, it's not that difficult, but'll just take time.
That's the only other way around that puzzle. Recoding the game.

Hey, is that the lock on the door to your lab?  No, wait, it's on the machine, isn't it?  Crap...  anyway, I remember there's a way to walk through the door, but then you'll be stuck in the lab.
