There is a great discussion about adventure games in general and Broken Age in particular in this video (http://www.gamespot.com/videos/broken-age-rethinking-a-classic-genre-for-the-mode/2300-6415966/).
Tim Schafer may have been a LucasArts adventure game guy, but there's no denying he is awesome and is making the most ambitious adventure game in decades (maybe ever?).

I like the first part about game design, but all of the development part is far above anything that a fan game could relate to. The puzzle theory nicely complements what I have often said about game puzzles, that they should be organic to the game and should advance the narrative, not just a disjointed, non sequitur road block. It should be more like problem solving than something pulled from a puzzle book.

I agree with you. All the dev stuff doesn't help us fan gamers much, but it does get me excited to play their game!
I wish I had seen the game design stuff 7 years ago when I started BA...I think some of my puzzles may fall more into the "roadblock" category!

their games are nice but i won`t say excellent stuff.
