Try using NAGI, maybe it'll work then,
I have no idea about the clicks though.

That's what those newer motherboards do instead of playing those nice beeps with their onboard PC speakers.

Check out the AGI Sound Blaster download here:
http://www.agigames.com/index.php?action=utilities

It will make the game's music and sounds play through the speaker instead. Remember to backup the game before you use that patch on it incase it doesn't work or incase you don't want to keep the patch installed in the interpreter.
