ScummVM ready for 32-bit SCI testing
« on: April 29, 2017, 12:22:17 PM »
ScummVM has announced that their latest daily builds apparently can handle the following 32-bit SCI games:

* Gabriel Knight
* Gabriel Knight 2
* King's Quest VII
* King's Questions
* Leisure Suit Larry 6 (hi-res)
* Phantasmagoria
* Police Quest 4
* Shivers
* Space Quest 6
* Torin's Passage

It also says that some changes might affect older SCI games as well. I'd say it's about time. I haven't tried it yet, though.

Besides a lack of speech that's entirely my fault, LSL6 seems to work okay.

Edit: turned out I already had two saves for KQ7 (how?). #1 in the Continue screen was preselected. I click Delete, the now blank item remains selected. I click Delete, get kicked to the main menu, click Continue again...

Edit: Continue now does not work at all anymore.

Yeah, I tried playing the SQ6 demo and adjusting the Music Volume slider crashed the game.
