How to draw shapes and fill them with colors?

I'm trying to learn to use SCI Companion to make SCI0 games and want to use the Pic Editor. I have read the instructions many times, but still can't understand how do I make any shapes other colors than black? Clicking the palette button show some color chooser, can't understand how it works.

Click either the 'V' (visual), 'P' (priority) or 'C' buttons and use the color picker there.  You'll also need to click the checkbox next to the V/P/C buttons for the draw commands to actually be drawn on the screen(s) you want.

Thanks, I wonder why I didn't notice this first. SCICompanion seems very nice, so hopefully I will be able to make some games with it. Much to learn.
