Headaches Using the door script

So I already know that the door script often turns into a bigger headache than it is worth and this time is no exception. I can't seem to manage declaring an open sound. Looking through the door.sc It sure looks like the functioality is built in but no matter where I try to declare the  openSnd  as  102  I  get the oops error whenever I try opening the door. Has anyone else managed to get the door to play sound.

I've never tried using a sound effect with a door. I probably will now that we have the ability to use digital sound effects. But I'm holding off on adding music and sound effects for KQ2SCI until the whole game is completed scripting/art-wise.
