You don't really escape, but it gives you hints so you can RESTORE your game and go back and try something different.

I think that the take metal death might have arisen from Sierra's "Quality Control" censoring the "Rats" death (Ever noticed how similiar their animation is, but the "Rats" death had a POW BIFF BAM shroud over Roger and the Rat?)

That might explain how hard to find it is (I only found it after looking at the graphics in SCI Studio) and why the game gives no hints that it's there (You only see riveted steel? I don't think so. 8))
