Sarien has no memory limitations. It will report maximum heap left to the game system, but you can allocate as much as the OS will let you allocate.

There is one graphic bug I am aware of, it shows up when you compare the original interpreter with sarien, in gold rush, the opening credits the sign (grey + yellow) seems to fill with a different pattern. (you can easily see/test this).

Mega Tokyo AGI Archive / Re:Encrypted object files
« on: January 21, 2004, 12:26:16 PM »
the easiest way to tell if its in encrypted, since the first bit of data points close to the start of the file, it will always be below a certain number. if its encrypted the first word is huuuge and 99% of the time point beyond te end of the file.

AGDS is just a differeny encrytion key instead of 'avis durgan'

and also, amiga object game file has different size padding to other architectures. amuga uses 4 byte padding inside the object file, every other game system users 3 (mac, atari st, etc).

(the specs on helllabs are more up to date than the ones on nicks agidev site, for teh object file anyway... object specs)

neither have updated info on amiga padding

i think there are only a few legit non english versions. most of the spanish ones i have seen are scistudio hacks.

Mega Tokyo AGI Archive / Re:AGI0/AGI1 - I meant original ones!!!
« on: May 01, 2003, 01:52:25 AM »
because the v2 versions were so easy to get, i think it would be very hard to find v0/v1 versions.

the original v0 KQ1, probably too rare to find
and v1 BC, KQ2, again, too easy to get 'working' non bootable versions.

unless you find a junk sale with someone who has old tandy pcjr machines and software...
