You should download Abandon Loader to play it. I used it to play most Sierra games and Lucasarts game when I had XP on my PC, and it worked fine, with sound and mouse support.

I would give the link, but I couldn't find it after a quick search. Just try google, and see if you can find it.

Are we allowed to get help on writing the logic, like posting a question or asking someone, since I haven't used AGI Studio for about... 2 years now, and even when I did, I kinda sucked at it. :P

Might as well give this a try, could be a good way to actually learn the AGI logic. As I was only ever good at doing art. :-\

Oh, and also. If we have our own webspace, can we just upload it to there and send a link to it, to the email address?

AGS has "the big feature", 256 color graphics.

Actually, AGS supports up to 32-Bit colour, not just 256 colours... so that "big feature" is bigger than you originally thought... :P

Hey RJD, I've hardly been here myself, and only come every now and then to check for SCIVGA. :)

Did you ever finish that bounty hunter game, I think it was a Boba Fett one? I haven't finished mine yet, but I've kept developing the story.

Yeah, I never finished the one of the right, and just kinda left it without any detail.

About the wierd perspective, would making the sea level a bit higher in the distance be better, so it's not in line with the two big guard towers with flames coming out of them.

Hey everyone, it's been ages since I posted here :). Anyway, heres a background I did a while ago in SCI, and I wanted to know what you guys thought of it. It was just a test to see if I could emulate a location from a story in Heavy Metal magazine, called Fires of Askell. I got it looking pretty similar considering the limitation, and I might consider making a game at some time in the future based on it.

Any C+C is welcome, even if you hate it to all hell... ;D

I can help with some bg art, character art and also maybe some programming. I haven't used SCI for a while, and I have to remember how everything works, but it shouldn't take too long.

If you want to see some stuff i've done, have a look at my site tdrDESIGN or also checking the AGS forums and doing a search for posts by The Ultimo. I've got a few pics over there, not SCI, but stuff done with Photoshop.

Email me at tdrlordhart@hotmail.com.

If you want a horror game, you'd have to make a Hellraiser game. That would be awesome... having Pinhead and the Cenobites ripping people apart with hooks. Or Evil Dead... Ash, ripping people apart with his chainsaw. Or House... with the house ripping people apart with, well... um, it's doors.

Do they have a website for TechTV where you can download their shows? I'm in Oz, and we don't get it.

I'm pretty much leaving SCI behind, but if you need any help with graphics or anything, send me an email at lordhart@lordhartsdungeon.cjb.net.

Xul... I thought Xul was a man. - Ghostbusters :)

Sorry for that. Anyway, have a look around at the tutorials that Chris pointed out. I had the same problem and didn't really understand the priorties myself. I looked at that one myself and totally understood what I did wrong. It really does help reading up first before jumping in and making a game.
