Actually, went over the beta Rich referred to (can be found at thelostplanet.tripod.com), and TLP began in-around May 98. Of those at the time, I distinctly remember Dave's Quest. hehe.

When? The first half of 1998. My first test with AGI was a little thing called Medi-Evil (long before the game of the same name ever came out), though I never released it.

The first version of The Lost Planet (the super-beta) was compiled by/for May 29, 1998. I had been looking into AGI from late '97, though.

Yes, URI Quest was definitely one of the first full games I remember, though. The list seems pretty accurate, though I'm surprised Rich remembers the early, early version of TLP -- I forgot I released that one. hehehe

Mega Tokyo AGI Archive / THE LOST PLANET

All of you people who have 'THE LOST PLANET' on your site, will you STOP pointing at the old, old website at progsoc.uts.edu.au???

I haven't had that account since I first started.

My e-mail is not nick@progsoc.uts.edu.au.

My e-mail *****IS***** tarison@hotmail.com

The website is not http://www.progsoc.uts.edu.au/~nick/ or under there. IT IS http://members.tripod.com/~thelostplanet/

This information has been incorrect for close to two years, and it's not the first time I've tried (unsuccessfully) to get this info out to people.

That's one way to test, because the coordinates are a list of corners of a box around the object, and if ego is inside the box, then it means they're close enough.

If you mean object in the AGI sense (an o-variable), then you could always use distance(ego, object, vXX), and test the contents of the v-variable.

The proper syntax for distance is:
distance(oA,oB,vD);

Mega Tokyo AGI Archive / TLP & Music

I'm pretty right for music at the moment. In truth, I hadn't worked on the game in a loooong time (bout a year, which was when I was doing my own little tests into the lucasarts interface).

RL sorta snuck up on me, then just the other day, I was bored, surfing the web, and stumbled onto AGS. It does look like that's going to be TLP's new format, as I can have it closer to how I originally wanted it to be (I'd been planning it before even touching AGI, if that gives you an idea ;)

Cheers,

by not mentioning anything about the plot, you make it hard for anyone who wants to give you a good title :)

Explain what the game is about
