Mega Tokyo SCI Archive / Windows XP + SCI VGA = GAH!
« on: July 20, 2004, 07:49:25 PM »
So, I use NAGI for AGI games, ScummVM for the LucasArts SCUMM games, and now...what do I use for SCI VGA, such as Police Quest 3 and Space Quest 4?  This DosBox program is pissing me off, as it's too slow or skips too much, even if I do fiddle with the framerate and skiprate.  Anybody have any suggestions?

Knowing the Homestar Runner crew, I think they made that just as a parody.  If they do release it, however, it will indeed be free, as all their other games are.

KUDOS!
Excellent work!  This perhaps marks the first AGI foray into suspense horror.  Again you throw us a game out of left field that's a home run.  Femo Duo, you guys are potentially the Gods of AGI (no offense, Robin, lol).  I was just wondering if you guys have any current plans for a new AGI or even an SCI game?

Okay, I can see where you're all coming from.

Robin, I never stated that AGI was dead because GOA was dead.  I said AGI was dying because of the lack of new projects.  I myself am a fan of F*** Quest, but I thought F*** Quest II was abandoned.  And what of Chris Cromer's "V" game?  That was an immense disappointment to see V slowly die because I love the mini-series.  And what of SCI Studio VGA?  That probably could have shone a new light upon the AGI/SCI community.

Anyways, it's good to see some new games on the way.  I want to start a new project, but it's been a good year or so since I last programmed, so I'm pretty much ??? about it.  I can still create wonderful sprites and animations as well as craft amazing stories.  If I had a programmer, I'd work as hard as possible on a new game, be it AGI or SCI.   :'(

We've come a long way, haven't we?  Many of you are probably wondering if you know me or not.  I was the designer of Superman: The AGI Game until some unfortunate accidents happened in my life.  The sprites, backgrounds, and programming for the game were lost eight months ago.  Anyways, let's get down to why I'm now speaking.  It seems as if AGI is dying, as if people are beginning to give up on it.  I just found out today that GOA is dead, and many people are moving on to other things.  Because of that, I figure this is the best time for all of us to join together and make an epic game, a game that will be embedded in history as THE fan-made AGI game.  I'm asking for all the remaining programmers, sprite & background artists, sound producers, and everybody else in between to join together to produce one large and fantastic AGI game before AGI finally does die.  I was thinking of some ideas possibly, but if any of you actually do take me seriously, you can contact me at comic_book_guru@yahoo.com, at my Yahoo Messenger at comic_book_guru, or at my AIM at Doctor Comic.
