I haven't played hank's quest yet, no time.

but I couldn't help reading through your post that. . .hmm, hard to put this without sounding harsh. . . well I was wondering . . . In what way. . .Have you ever. . . Has the satisfaction. . . Oh well never mind,

I guess you never PLAYED hank's quest either.  

Well I see you can type a lot of ........ welll........ So did you really have anything to say

or did you just want to practice your .......  

We are not all EXPERTS........ but we do try to enjoy the games ........

So if your pleasure was to make me feel like a dummy........SORRY it did not work.........

More people pointed out this problem. It's because we assumed people would be using the Numeric Keypad to control Hank

Use the '8' and '9'-key (Numeric Keypad) to get past the sensors.

Thank you.  That helped.  Plus I did not know that you could work the keypad diagonally

Now I think I finished the game but I only have 186/200 pts.  According to walkthru you give the rose to Charlene and then watch the ending

I gave the rose to Charlene, she's impressed, but nothing else happens.  What am I missing  Do I have to go back home, which I did, but I don't see anything different

im stuck in the beginning

i have only 24 points and im stuck

william is talking to lisa and says he will meet me at my room later

i talked to everybody and checked everything and hes still talking with lisa

i cant turn on my laptop cause it says that first i need to get closer and i get as closer as i can and still i cant turn it on

i need some help

William will never go to your room so don't expect him.

You just have to move around and 'look' at everything on your way and 'talk' to anyone you see.  As I was advised somewhere in this forum, when you 'talk' to someone, pay attention to what they say. If they mention someone's name, find that person as soon as possible but keep looking and touching or whatever you can do on your way.

As for your laptop, I managed to 'use' it.  As for getting closer, maybe you have to really face it.  Or maybe you should 'look' at table and then try to use it  I am not really sure anymore.

Couldn't you fix it to make it more playable

I don't remember having so much trouble with it. Anyway, you could always 'fix' it yourself in PicEdit, just remove the control lines.

Could you please explain how I can fix it in PicEdit  I have never done that, so I have no clue as to what to do

Your game was a lot of fun but this is too much.

Couldn't you fix it to make it more playable

it dosent matter what order you do this bit in

Thanks.  I tried that and it did work.

Now I have another problem.  I'm in the caretaker's office with the sensors on the floor.  I'm near the wall and I will have to turn left (last stretch) to get to the desk but I die all the time.  I've been trying for 2 days.  There must be a 'secret' to getting there I tried from the front of the desk it I get that 'have to get closer - nice try'.

Help would really be appreciated.

Has anyone played HANK'S QUEST  

I'm trying to leave school and go back home after talking to Bob.  I have to get the CD he likes.

You hear the school bell    

When I try to leave the school, I can't.    

It says I can't because there are some classes.  DAH! I know.  but according to walkthru you have to go home first and then come back to class

Try to type "open ventilation crowbar"

Maybe my post was not clear:

The problem is not the word 'hyphen' but the word 'crow-bar'
I cannot type the 'hyphen' in 'crow-bar': the game does not accept it.  Then on the other hand, the game does not recognize the words: 'crowbar', 'crow_bar', 'crow bar'.

OK GAME OVER/SOLVED with only 214 points.

I don't understand why or how, but after retry the game at the point where I had to get the crow-bar from kitchen, I managed to use the crowbar.  This time the game did accept the word 'crowbar'.  I still don't understand why but I'm glad it did

Hi and thank you to anyone who could help me continue this good game.


I gave the flower to Green, he's admiring it on the cliff.  

Before I go back inside, I get the message "someone or something needs to be picked".  I read somewhere that I need to go into every room, sometimes twice, until I find a corpse, and get his glasses because I will need them (probably for the telescope).

I have been around the station, in and out of every room many times and still cannot find a corpse.

I tried to open the small cupboard in garage...no can do

I am still getting that message and I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE.

HELP PLEEAAASE

Try picking some fruit for a change

And to answer your 'Where's Maxwell?'-question in the other topic: Don't go waiting for him! He's William Mayfield's father and has been dead for a couple of years now...

I did pick up the fruit and I am now at 213 points.

NOW I HAVE A BIGGER PROBLEM.    
in my inventory I have the crow-bar, but when I try to type 'use crow-bar'  I cannot print/type the 'hyphen'. So I tried to type 'crow bar', 'crow_bar' 'crowbar' but the game does not understand these words.  I tried 'Alt-', 'Ctrl-' but it does not work.  Although when I had to find the crow-bar, I got it.

If I manage to solve the puzzles, will I still be able to finish the game, since I know that at one point or another I will have to type crow-bar

As for my previous post where I was asking 'where is Maxwell', I really meant 'where is WILLIAM'  Sorry my mistake.

ok now I have 213 points and I am stuck in the broken-down hallway.  How do I get past that

I apologize if this post is too long but I really would appreciate an answer so that I can complete this game:-[

After giving flower to Green, he goes to the cliff and only admires the flower.  He does not leave.  I went back but got message that 'someone or something has to be picked'.

I went back to the garage like you said, but can't do anything in there.  I tried opening that small cupboard, it's not in my power.  I tried pickaxe on it, but it will not budge.  I can't get any tools, the box is empty and the scooter is for later.  

I've been going around in circles and really getting dizzy and fed up.

I enjoyed your game but not I'm getting frustrated.

Can anyone give me a hint as to what to do next.

I have 155 points but completly stuck.

And BTW where is Maxwell.  Haven't seen him since the seance.
