SCI Development Tools / Unfinished scicorelib

Hi!

A few month after i discontinued this project, I feel, that the already written code should be posted somewhere.
I don't have the time, nor I am in the mood to develop this project any futher.

Its a basic implementation of decoding and saving a sci project. Its far from finished, but if someone wants to do this,
feel free. (STACpack and LZS are finiseh, as far as I could test it, DCL is untested.)

This project is organized in the same way as the mscorelib of the .NET framework.
Do as you like with it. Fork it, contribute, ?

Since the SCI Copmanion project is very good developed the necessary for this is maybe 0.

But perhaps someone want to put this code to use.

(The checkin comment are in german, but the code comments are in english. ( I hope all of it. :) )

And a few Ideas of mine:
- Implement a language service for Visual Studio (like C#)
- Implement a gdb stub in scummvm and a debugger in Visual Studio to debug the scripts, while the game runs.

Greetings
Rulaman

That's good to know, but I have the resources.
On the page I linked are sources and resources. (Found out recently. Thanks for the Huffman-Link.)
I'm happy now, an d when I'm in the mood, I do something with them.

So, I extracted the resources, but now I need the huffman decomp algo.
As I edited in my last post, I found a good resource page.

Does anyone have any information about the RESOURCE.001 format (and the RESOURCE.MAP) for Screen Antics?

Do you mean AGS (than yes), or do you mean the WFN-FontEditor? (Then also yes.)

You can import SCI fonts already in AGS. This feature was never removed, but it saves the font as wfn.

Hi,

It's me again.

After a good time, I have a look in this forum and would present a new tool.
It's a font editor for SCI-Fonts. (87 00-Prefix needed)

It was made for another font format, but included now sci fonts. It was made for an other game creation utility who supports sci fonts also.

There is the link to the thread:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=48527.0

Don't mind the naming (WFN-FontEditor).

Hi,

at the moment I have no more plans to do something. I have other things to do.

But, what do you mean with 'Realm'? Do yo umean 'Lord of the Realm'? If so, I can test it.
Oh, I see it works already.

Hi, I'm glad, that you find it useful.
(That's why iam uploaded it.)

I have a new version in the repo. It corrects a few issues with another SCI-Games.
(Tested additionally with: Phantasmagoria, Gabriel's Night [some images broken], and a few more ...)

PS: I thought, that Borland 5 would do it. :(
I want to compile it first, before try to do some work on it. But so ...
I lay it down, to do other things.

Hi,

I created a little tool to extract the images from *.v56 and *.p56 files.
I have done this, because Views Viewer2 can't save the images, only shows them.
The tool can save all images within a view or a picture at one (there is no choice to

save only one).

(I want to add the ability to save all views/pictures at once from all resources in a

given path. Also I want to show the views/pictures directly from the resource files.

[The code form the resource-extract is from resdump12. I must only include it. Port to

C# is done])

You found my little tool attatched.

The repository is at: https://bitbucket.org/rulaman/sci-image-viewer (Mercurial)

I found it annoying, that i can't save the pictures and views with ViewsViewer2, so I

created this. It was a nice job. I have done it mostly for my own, but you should

benefit form this too.

I included a manual.

TODO:
- Ability to load the images from the resource-files (RESMAP.*, RESOURCE.*)
- Save ALL views and picture in one step.

Beware, that I'am not very often here. But if you have a format specification or a wish

to show other formats, please contact me (PM or an answer to this thread).

PS: I tried to compile SCI Studio and it failes, but this is another story.

PPS: Why can't I upload 7z-files?

Greetings
Rulaman
