Don't know if anyone out there is a larry fan, but it looks like there is going to be a larry 8 made.

can look at the cover of CGM and a small blurb at

Good to know that companies are still slowly making SCI games

Probably not if Sierra makes LSL8 in 3D like KQ8

I've always deeply hated the larry series... its braindead "gameplay" and sub-infantile "humor"... it was probably the only
Sierra series that I would happily flush down the john. It's sad that this unfunny juvenile trash gets a hi-budget sequel now, while good series like Gabriel Knight, Police Quest or Space Quest get nothing. :(

They did try to give Gabriel Knight a sequel (that crappy 3D-thingy) and so does Space Quest (but unofficially), nl. Space Quest 9. There's a whole article, along with screenshots (can't believe Sokal works on the art :o ) in the last edition of the Inventory (except for the most recent edition, but dunno the English word for pre-last)

Gabriel Knight 3 is one the best adventure games I ever played. As much as I'd like it to be done in 2d drawings, the story is so great that you're quickly drawn into it.

And controlling your character is very well done (I hate keyboard-controlled adventures, except AGI and SCI games)...

They released a trailer for LSL8?  Your not talking about the one linked on Al's sight when it was 3D?

It is a new trailer.  It says "guess who's back" then it shows a 2d-looking larry, then a 3d larry (that looks different than the previous 3d Larry from the LSL8 demo) knocks the 2d thing over, then it plays a fast version of the larry theme song while larry plays air guitar, then it shows him doing things like running around naked and stuff, some names of people in the game are "charlotte godchaux" and "tilly crookshonks"
