Is it possible to get 500 points in Police Quest IV?

I'd like to find out if the score counter in Police Quest 4 goes as high as 500, as unlike with most Sierra games there is no maximum score total shown. When I first played the game years ago around 2005, the highest point score I could get was 424. When I played the game in 2008 I achieved a score of 457 which I achieved by just talking to everyone, using the notepad, examining everything I could, etc. I noticed in some recent Youtube playthroughs that scores were going into the 470-480 point range, and now there is a point list on GameFAQs which takes the score all the way up to 493, although the author admits that 3 of these points may be a glitch. Has anyone ever found these missing points and achieved a score of 500? If not, what's the highest score you've reached?

You've got me on that one Tom. I have never actually played PQ4 all the way through. I don't know if it was the video capture or what but it just never really seemed to get my attention. That being said, the highest point score I ever probably achieved was in the 20 somethings.

I feel the same way about Police Quest 4 - I can see that they were trying to make a realistic game but in some cases comes across as quite dull. Still, the score total has me interested at the moment so I'm replaying it just in case I can squeeze out those last few points. I've currently completed the first two days, getting 42 points at the end of day 1 and 209 points at the end of day 2. If this can be bettered please let me know.
