I managed to run SQ6 under W2K once - the sound "disappeared", but I used VDMSound and it worked. There were some problems with "stuttering" in some scenes, but the game was playable. There was no way to run it properly under Windows Xtreme Poop, though; it would always crash or freeze (as did several other titles). Of course, the only MS system where there were no problems with running it (or other classic games, in fact) was W98 (I had both FE and SE and ran Sierra games, including SQ6, under both, flawlessly), which is the best, if not the only usable, operating system that MS ever managed to make.
