Sierra's SCI System Scripts
« on: February 11, 2016, 05:03:03 PM »
I decided to release the original system scripts (equivalent to SCI Companion's template game):
https://github.com/OmerMor/SCI16

The newest script (ACTOR.SC) has a timestamp of 1993-12-08.

Since it is a copyrighted work, I don't know how long I can keep it online. I hope nobody would notice/mind it. In the meantime you're welcome to take a look.
I hope it would help us all understand the class system better.

Omer.

I was waiting eagerly for this moment.

In case you can't keep it there after all, I've already copied it to my stash.

I grabbed it, too. Thanks. Love being able to see the comments. The batch files make me curious as to the original tools.

Same here. All I can tell is that they were on a network share or something.

Just noticed that the DEBUG.DOC says Alt+D to invoke. Off hand I cannot think of any SCI games that use Alt+D. That, of course is what triggered it in AGI. What was the original date of this document?

Remember, debug mode was taken out of all SCI1 and up games by the time they were shipped so it makes sense it doesn't work anymore.

Also, I'm geeking our really bad right now...do we know what was used to compile?

They used Borland C++ and either TASM or MASM for the assembly files. I suspect they different versions for different tools.

Versions aside, I happen to have been dabbling in BC earlier.
