I'm not sure I understand your post. But if I was going to write an MT-32 soundtrack with my own MT-32 instruments it would sound fine in my software but as soon as I converted it to SCI sound resource format the instruments would be all wrong since I don't have a patch file containing the correct instruments I made specifically for the soundtrack that the game would use to send said instruments to the MT-32. Same goes for adlib/sound blaster it would come out all wrong without a proper patch file.
