FontEditor
« on: September 04, 2013, 02:40:51 PM »
Hi,

It's me again.

After a good time, I have a look in this forum and would present a new tool.
It's a font editor for SCI-Fonts. (87 00-Prefix needed)

It was made for another font format, but included now sci fonts. It was made for an other game creation utility who supports sci fonts also.

There is the link to the thread:

Don't mind the naming (WFN-FontEditor).

Greetings
Rulaman

Nice.  I tested this out, just for clarification it works on extracted FONT.xxx files.  I especially like the 'outline font' feature - this could save someone a lot of time.

Is that AGS's font editor? I thought that was common knowledge. Fairly old as well. Nice that AGS supports importing of SCI fonts. That was a useful feature for making SCI-like games.

You can import SCI fonts already in AGS. This feature was never removed, but it saves the font as wfn.

Do you mean AGS (than yes), or do you mean the WFN-FontEditor? (Then also yes.)

AGS is as old as the hills. I meant the Font program.

Rulaman - thanks again for this.  I just used it against a 128 character font resource, extending it to 256 characters.  Then using the copy/paste functionality & was able to add in some of the extended characters (grave, acute and circumflex characters). The mouse-over showing what the ASCII character should be was extremely helpful too.
